The Rewards Credit Card Made Just for Pet Parents

With vet costs rising 60% over the past decade, pets and pet parents both deserve a little relief.

Nibbles is the first credit card that comes with free pet insurance and 3x rewards at pet stores, pet services, and the vet. Plus, use the card anywhere else Mastercard is accepted for 1x rewards. Protect your pet and your wallet in one move. All those rewards mean more treats, too!

Nibbles is not a bank. The Nibbles Card is issued by Lead Bank. Fees and T&C apply.

New Year, New Pup-Centric Checklist

A new year isn’t just about human resolutions and gym memberships; it’s a "fresh start" for our four-legged family members, too. After the whirlwind of holiday treats and hectic schedules, the beginning of the year is the perfect time to hit the reset button on your dog’s health and happiness.

Here are a few ways to kick off the year right for your pup.

The "Health Audit" Reset

Before the year gets too busy, take a moment to look at the basics.

  • Check the Tag: Is your contact info still legible on their collar? Is their microchip data up to date?

  • The Pantry Purge: Check the expiration dates on kibble and treats. If those "holiday dental chews" are looking a bit dusty, it’s time for a fresh bag.

  • The Annual Appointment: Book your vet check-up now. Proactive wellness exams are the best way to ensure your pup stays by your side for many more New Year’s Eves.

Introduce a "Sniffari"

We often walk our dogs for exercise, but dogs experience the world through their noses. This year, vow to take one walk a week where the dog is in charge.

  • Let them stop and sniff that patch of grass for three minutes.

  • Follow their lead (safely) down a new block.

  • Mental stimulation from sniffing can be just as tiring—and far more satisfying—than a brisk run.

Refresh the Toy Box

Old, frayed toys can actually be a safety hazard if stuffing or squeakers are easily swallowed.

  • The Toy Rotation: You don’t need to buy a dozen new toys. Instead, hide half of their current toys in a closet and swap them out every few weeks. To your dog, it feels like "New Toy Day" all over again.

  • The Deep Clean: Toss plush toys in the wash and scrub rubber Kongs to start the year germ-free.

Master One New Trick

Training isn't just for puppies; it’s a wonderful way to bond with an adult or senior dog. Pick something fun and low-stakes:

  • "Middle": Teaching them to stand between your legs.

  • "Spin": A crowd-pleaser that builds flexibility.

  • "Find it": Hiding a treat in the room and letting them hunt for it.

Prioritize "Do Nothing" Time

In our quest to give them the best life, we often over-schedule them with daycare and dog parks. This year, schedule some intentional quiet. * Curling up on the couch without your phone in your hand.

  • A calm grooming session or a gentle belly rub.

  • Your presence is the most valuable gift you can give them.

Pro Tip: If your dog is a senior, the start of the year is a great time to check the "grip" of your floors. Adding a few stylish area rugs can prevent slips and keep those aging joints happy!

Dog Food and Supplement Recalls

Here are the recent recalls and advisories:

  • Bonnihill Farms (Fromm Family Foods) - BeefiBowls Beef Recipe gently cooked frozen dog food, 16 oz. chubs for potential plastic contamination

  • Foodynamics - Freeze Dried Pet Treats for potential Salmonella contamination.

  • Nature’s Own - Pet Chews Bully Bites Treats for potential Salmonella contamination.
